Restoran Nasi Vanggey Pekan Lama (Old Town) Ipoh is now open!
Yes, Restoran Nasi Vanggey (some say Nasi Ganja, what the heck?) has a new outlet, giving Ipohites even more opportunities to try their infamous 'nasi kandar' (typical Indian food but Malaysianized).
Location of Restoran Nasi Vanggey Pekan Lama (Old Town)
As the name suggests, it is located in the heart of Old Town Ipoh. Back in the old days, life in the Old Ipoh township was more or less centered around the Ipoh Railway Station. As the years gone by, Ipoh had gone through tremendous developments and it is even more evident after Ipoh became a full-fledged city back in 1988.
Finding it won't be hard if you are familiar with the areas at Pekan Lama/Old Town Ipoh. It is right there in Jalan Bijeh Timah, about 5 minutes walk from the office of Maybank Pekan Lama/Old Town. Refer to the following map for directions.

Our apologies for failing to provide an in-depth report on Restoran Nasi Vanggey Pekan Lama (Old Town)
Under normal circumstances, the team of Ipoh Happenings would have prepared a better report than what we have for our readers today. Sorry folks, Restoran Nasi Vanggey Pekan Lama (Old Town) was not yet opened when we visited the place last Friday since we were there quite early in the morning. We did ask the supervisor at Restoran Nasi Vanggey Greentown about their new outlet's opening hours and we were told that it is open daily from 10 AM to 7 PM. Please make a mental note of the new outlet's opening hours.
In the meantime, if you have tasted Restoran Nasi Vanggey's addictive 'nasi kandar' somewhere else in the past, then you would know what to expect from their new outlet. We will revisit Restoran Nasi Vanggey Pekan Lama (Old Town) again one day to see what's special over there. Stay tuned! :)
