AY Corner: Tambun's best but little known 'Kedai Makan'

If you are working or living somewhere near Tambun, there is one little 'kedai makan' (more or less equivalent to a normal restaurant) that you should check out in that small town.

We were told that the place was once known among the locals as Warung Sri Corner but nowadays the people behind it wanted the place to be known only as AY Corner.

AY Corner: Location

It is located in a small but lovely town of Tambun. Finding it on your own would be a very difficult task since it is located somewhere beside the busy Jalan Tambun. That's not the only thing that is making it difficult, the absence of a visible signboard made it near impossible for new visitors to locate the place. We sincerely hope that the management of AY Corner will consider placing a proper a signboard outside their premise in the near future. :)

The place is unfortunately closed during night time, so please visit AY Corner during daytime only.

What's special at AY Corner

AY Corner is one of our favourite places to have breakfast in the City of Ipoh and the place has a lot to offer in the morning hours, ranging from the common 'nasi lemak' (fragrant rice), 'roti canai' and rarities such as 'lontong' (rice cakes) and 'pulut kuning' (yellow glutinous rice) served with chicken rendang (caramelized chicken, rich in spices).

If you're planning to visit AY Corner, try their perfect 'roti canai' (Malaysian equivalent of Indian's paratha pancake), light but tasty curry mee and delicious fried kuey teow (some say kway teow). It is their delicious and rich fried kuey teow that comes complete with cockles and beef that caught our taste buds the most! We dare say that AY Corner's fried kuey teow is one of the best in the City of Ipoh!
